Update! INCEO Earned a 2020 Gold Seal of Transparency
The Indiana Center for Employee Ownership just earned a 2020 Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar. GuideStar Seals of Transparency indicate that a nonprofit has provided key information to its Nonprofit Profile. This recognition shows commitment to transparency. By providing up-to-date information, nonprofits allow potential donors and funders to make educated decisions on which nonprofits they choose to donate to.
To earn the Gold Seal INCEO completed Bronze, Silver and Gold requirements including:
- Providing INCEO’s address, contact name, and e-mail
- Mission statement
- Name of INCEO’s leader and board chair
- Program names, descriptions, and population served
- Geographical area served (Indiana!) by our programs
- Basic financial information from the prior year.
- Charting Impact of the Organization
- What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
- What are the organization’s key strategies for making this happen?
- What are the organization’s capabilities for doing this?
- How will they know if they are making progress?
- What have they accomplished so far and what’s next?

The Indiana Center for Employee Ownership is a 501(c)(3) public charity. As such donors can deduct contributions they make to INCEO under IRC Section 170. Additionally INCEO is qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522. Donations (from Indiana citizens) may be made through Network for Good at our Guidestar Profile. Did you know that included in the CARES ACT there is a provision to allow individual taxpayers to deduct donations to charity of up to $300 on their 2020 federal tax return, even though they take the standard deduction. Married-filing-jointly taxpayers will get an above-the-line deduction of up to $600.
