In 2018, INCEO worked with the offices of Governor Holcomb and Indianapolis Mayor Hogsett to proclaim October Employee Ownership Month.   I believe this was a first for Indiana, and according to The ESOP Association Indiana was one of four states to issue a Governors Proclamation.

In 2019, our goal is to once again obtain a proclamation from the offices of the Governor and Mayor of Indianapolis and expand this effort to other Indiana cities with multiple ESOPs.

According to the latest DOL 5500 data we plan to contact the cities of Fort Wayne (9 ESOPs), Evansville (6 ESOPs), Merrillville (5 ESOPs), and Carmel, Elkhart, Lafayette, South Bend, and Warsaw (4 ESOPs each).  However this leaves another 80 Indiana cities with 3 or less ESOPs that could be contacted.
