Blog Contributor – Suzanne Cromlish


The Indiana Center for Employee Ownership is pleased to add Dr. Suzanne Cromlish as a contributor to the INCEO Blog. Suzanne’s dissertation topic Empowering the 99%…One ESOP at a Time!, a mixed methods study of acquisitions by Employee-Owned Companies. Additional information about Dr. Cromlish follows:

Suzanne Cromlish is an Assistant Professor of Management teaching Business &  Organizational Behavior courses in the Management & Marketing Department in the Graham School of Management (GSM) at Saint Xavier University (SXU) in Chicago.

Prior to her SXU role, she was employed in the corporate world in executive administration for over 20 years. She & her husband were also nationwide business owners for over 15 yrs. and she continues to maintain her Skilled Nursing & Assisted Living Administrator’s Licenses.

She has volunteered as a Sign Language Interpreter/Instructor, applying her skills as an interpreter for 5 US Presidents & many First Ladies, Governors, Senators, & celebrities. She also was the official Sign Language Interpreter for The International Association of Lions Clubs at their annual International Conventions for over 10 years.

Her research interests are personally and financially empowering the 99% with Employee Ownership (ESOP) Organizations by continually collaborating with the top 3 ESOP Associations in the US. After a national competition, she was awarded a Louis O. Kelso Fellowship from The ESOP Foundation for her ESOP Acquisition Research, which has been presented at many academic & practitioner conferences, including The Academy of Management Annual Conference twice.

Suzanne’s research into ESOP growth through acquisitions will bring a new and interesting perspective to INCEO and provide information which may not be easily available to ESOPs contemplating this business growth strategy.    Questions to Suzanne may be submitted through INCEO.
