In January of 2017 at the Kelso Fellowship Conference sponsored by the School of Management and Labor Relations, Rutgers University, INCEO (Dr. Van Doel) attended a meeting to discuss state centers and their role in providing education and advocacy to increase the number of employee owned companies. At that time there were 5 established state centers, California, (Colorado) Rocky Mountain, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Vermont. On returning to Indiana Dr. Van Doel, discussed the need for a center with the Deputy Treasure of Indiana, and ultimately founded the Indiana center. The Employee Ownership Expansion Network (EOX) has significantly increased the number of open and active state centers. The EOX’s mission is to have state centers in 75% of the states by 2025.
